Class Schedule & Description 2009/2010



Classes will begin on
Monday, October 4, 2009. They will be held weekly and holidays will follow that of the Marion County Public School Calendar (view here). Classes begin promptly, please come dressed appropriately (view class attire post) and a few minutes early. Ballet 3 & 4 please arrive at least 10 minutes early to stretch before class begins.

Pre-Ballet: Ages 3&4 (Fee $30/Month)
Monday from 1:30pm - 2:30pm or Thursday 1:30pm - 2:30pm Students will be introduced to classical ballet technique by learning basic movements and stretches at the barre and center floor through creative teaching. At the end of class there will be a time for dress up and creative movement to encourage dancing in a public environment.

Ballet 1: Ages 5&6 (Fee $35/Month)

Thursday 4pm - 5pm
Students will be introduced to classical ballet technique by learning basic movements and stretches at the barre and center floor through creative teaching. They will learn how to connect moves together to form variations. At the end of class there will be a time for dress up and creative movement to encourage dancing in a public environment.

Ballet 2: Ages 7-10 (Fee $35/Month)

Thursday 5pm - 6pm
In this class students will be taught classical ballet technique by learning a series of moves and stretches at the barre and center floor through personalized teaching. They will learn how to connect moves together to form variations.

Ballet 3: Ages 11-13 (Fee $40/Month)

Monday 4pm - 5pm
In this class students will be taught classical ballet technique by learning a series of moves and stretches at the barre and center floor through personalized teaching. They will learn how to connect moves together to form variations. They will be taught ballet vocabulary, counting music and choreography.

Ballet 4: Ages 14 & Up (Fee $40/Month)

Monday 5:15pm - 7:30pm
In this class students will be taught classical ballet technique by learning a intermediate moves and stretches at the barre and center floor through personalized teaching. They will learn how to connect moves together to form variations, be taught ballet vocabulary, counting music and choreography.
